Review: Considering a Destination Wedding? I recommend Beaches Negril.

by travelplanner

A lot of couples these days are considering an all inclusive destination wedding in Jamaica for their Big Day.  Why? Well, that answer is different for everyone, but most people choose an all inclusive  destination wedding in Jamaica or the Caribbean, because it can be more economical and so much more less stress than a traditional wedding.   It is a way to have a stress-free wedding day without any worries about details as everything is handled for you!   A destination wedding is a great way to reconnect with your friends and family and create an unforgettable experience for everyone.  I highly recommend Beaches Negril in Jamaica, for anyone thinking of doing a destination wedding!

The Wedding Coordinators are Great!

While at Beaches Negril, the all inclusive caribbean resort in Negril Jamaica,  I was able to get to know the Wedding Coordinators and see some weddings and renewal of vows take place.  The wedding packages that Sandals & Beaches offer are sure to fit your personality and vision for your day. They take such good care of wedding couples and are genuinely excited for you!  I was very impressed with the Wedding Team at Beaches Negril and am excited about Sandals & Beaches new partnership with Martha Stewart for weddings.

Ceremony Locations. There is a beautiful garden gazebo that offers a very private ceremony location.  This gazebo does face the Caribbean Sea, so you get the best of both worlds.

The beach is also an ideal location for a wedding.  I recommend either a morning wedding, or a sunset wedding.   During the months of August, September, and October,  it rains a lot in the late afternoon in Jamaica, so it is safer to get married in the morning.  If you are getting married during the other months,  a beach destination  wedding gives you a great view.  At Beaches all inclusive resort in Negril Jamaica , the sunsets are out of this world!   A sunset wedding on the beach can give you some of the most beautiful pictures you will ever have!

While this option won’t give you as much privacy (they do put out signs so that people know that a wedding is in progress), the idea of a barefoot on the beach wedding is so appealing, isn’t it? You can choose to have a sand ceremony as part of your service as well, which is a non-denominational unity ceremony.

Reception Locations

Reception locations will vary based on the size of your group.  Your wedding coordinator will meet with you upon arrival and go over your choices for ceremony and reception locations, along with back-up plans in case of rain.  There is also the possibility that even though you’ve scheduled a 4pm wedding, that the wedding coordinator will recommend an 11a.m. wedding. This will be based on current weather patterns and will vary by season. They just want everything to be perfect for you, so their advice is definitely worth taking!

One of my highest recommendations!

So, why do I recommend this resort? Isn’t a Sandals & Beaches wedding the same everywhere?  Well, the wedding packages are identical (Martha Stewart), but the venues aren’t, and the resorts are all very different.  I base my recommendations on your specific desires and what is the best fit for the group.  I just felt that Beaches Negril was ideal because it is a perfect fit for every age group.  My husband and I found it to be romantic, my children had enough activities to keep them happy and we all agreed that the beach and water were picturesque.  Your pictures will be amazing, your guests will be happy and your wedding day will be flawlessly executed.  If you are looking for an amazing beach and water, a tropical resort that offers great food and service, nice accommodations and a reasonable price point, this is it!  Plus, guests who need a lower priced accommodation can stay at the Beaches Sandy Bay and spend their time at Beaches Negril (transfers included).  In addition, if you want to get away from the family after the wedding, you could stay at Sandals Negril for your honeymoon! (Hey, we have to be realistic here!)

Activities for your group: There is a great Catamaran cruise that you could go on with your group. This could be your welcome party experience.  We could set up a bonfire party. There are several excursions and adventures you could do as well, like the YS Waterfalls, Kayaking, River Tubing, Horseback Riding, a Rum tour…the list is endless. I would be happy to set up a unique experience for you and your guests to create a more personalized wedding celebrations.

How to book your Beaches Wedding:

It is beneficial to book your wedding as far in advance as possible, especially if you have a particular date and if it is a Holiday weekend.  So, how far in advance should you book your Beaches Destination Wedding?  If possible, 1 ½  – 2 years before hand, at least one year. If you don’t have this much time, that’s okay.  Just give me a call and we’ll see what is available. Call me for your consultation and we’ll determine what room category and get group pricing (if applicable).  The first thing we will do is secure your room with the $400 deposit. Once we have that, I will secure your wedding date and time and get a wedding group code.  The group code will be used if we choose not to have a group contract and will assist you in receiving any group amenities you may qualify for (like a free upgrade). If a group contract would be better for your group, I will let you know.  As a reference, the group contract is definitely beneficial if we are booking in advance and you have 5 or more rooms.  This will ensure the low rate (rates always increase and booking in advance will save everyone money) plus gives everyone in your group an upgrade.  A 10% deposit is required to secure a group which will hold a block of rooms and is generally paid by the bride and groom. This money will be applied toward your personal room as guests call me to secure their space.  A group contract will be the 10% deposit for all rooms held, not the $400 room deposit mentioned above. Once the contract is in place and the deposit is made, I can secure your wedding date and time. Call me for details!

Why book your all inclusive destination wedding with me?

Well, you don’t pay any more money. You will receive expert & honest advice and direction to ensure you have all the information you need to choose the resort and location that is best for you. When you have a question, you’ll have someone to go to. I’ll guide with the documentation and legal requirements to ensure everything is set up properly.  I will assist you and your guests with the travel process and will set up transfers and extra activities. The best benefit you will receive is that your guests will call me with questions and payments, not you!  A stress-free way to book your wedding…Pure Bliss!

Hope this helps!  Can’t wait to make your wedding dreams come true! Call or email me for more information on the Martha Stewart Wedding packages.

P.S.  Legal Requirements: You are only required to be in Jamaica for 48 hours (including weekends) to get legally married.  A Saturday arrival will allow a Monday wedding.

Remember, you must have your room booked with a small deposit, before you can secure your wedding date at Sandals and Beaches.
